I have always wanted to join the sea. Growing up, my father served in the Indian Navy, and I was deeply inspired by his journey. Whether through the Coast Guard, Indian Navy, or Merchant Navy—I knew I wanted to be a part of it.
However, before I could take the first step, my father passed away. With limited resources and the internet not as prevalent at the time, I struggled to find verified information about how to join. I applied for Merchant Navy courses on my own, but uncertainty lingered.
One day, I sought guidance from a friend of my father. At that very moment, he received a call from a shipping company regarding recruitment. He immediately mentioned my interest, and I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity. That was the turning point.
I traveled alone to Pune with minimal guidance, but fate aligned, and everything fell into place. I excelled in my pre-sea training, earning the title of the best candidate, a ₹10,000 prize from Wallem, and a trophy. I was also an active athlete. My hard work paid off, and I secured my first ship assignment quickly.
The real challenge came when I prepared for my Second Mate’s exam. Due to a lack of information, I underestimated the level of study required in the Merchant Navy, which made it a struggle. But persistence led me forward.
Throughout my career, I have sailed only on bulk carriers, from Handymax and Panamax to Capsize and even Valemax, the world’s largest bulk carriers. Today, I serve as a Second Officer.
Having navigated this journey with limited guidance, I understand how challenging it can be for aspiring seafarers. I don’t want others to fall into the traps of fraud agents or misinformation. That’s why I am starting this consultancy—to guide and support those who dream of a career at sea.
The Merchant Navy is not just a job; it’s a lifestyle that offers financial stability, adventure, and the freedom to pursue other passions. It demands discipline and hard work, but it rewards you with time off to spend with family and friends. Life at sea is intense and focused but coming home feels like a festival.
If you love the sea, seek discipline, and are willing to work hard, this profession is for you. And I am here to help you navigate the right path.

It is not often that you get to sail with people who become more than just seniors or colleagues, but close like family As much as it pained me to having missed Navjot sirs wedding, having an exemplary officer as your immediate senior especially as a first timer in a new rank is a blessing less spoken about I just want to thank Navjot sir for his constant belief in my ability and skill even more than myself and his ability to convince me that I could strive for more and become and achieve more greater things in this field I have truly learnt a lot in the 6 odd months we have sailed together and if fate allows it would never miss the chance to sail with him again Ab chhote bhai ki baat maank chief mate bano, aake fir mei aaram karunga aap dekh lena. Much love always
I don't know from where to start but people like you are hard to find, from day one to getting selected you were always like a support pillar for me. Whenever I had any doubt I never ever hesitated and felt free to contact you and that only because of your always ready to help attitude, no matter where you what you are doing but you always somehow managed to solve my queries , even if you couldn't you would always guide me the way to get through it. As now I am onboard i realised how tough life here is , people here sometimes don't even get time to sleep because of hectic schedule and I can't even imagine how you always managed to solve my queries and guide me maybe that is because of only your positive attitude I don't know how i would revert it back In future if I got a chance to sail with you I would definitely love to, from officers like quality to being a good and generous person there's so much to learn from you
